Client Requirement
The client requested to develop an Oculus Quest 2 application to provide a driving-friendly environment for users to learn driving fundamentals. They insisted on having a few scenarios like a U-turn, driving on a narrow road, and driving in the rain to test the user’s driving skills. In addition, they requested that the application be developed for VR headsets such as Oculus Quest 2.
Our Solution
We utilized Unity 3D and Maya to create a driving-friendly environment. We created the car model with fully furnished interiors, including an accelerator, brake, clutch, speedometer, and turn indicator. The application was developed so that users could manipulate the car’s speed, to cars, and brakes using device controllers.
We incorporated three scenarios into the application: driving on a narrow road, taking a U-turn, and driving in the rain. The rainy scenario was designed to provide a genuine driving-in-the-rain experience for the user. We integrated a parking lot where users were asked to park their vehicles in the parking lot. The entire environment was built in a way that included most of the ground traffic rules that begin. Finally, we must possess. We added audio feedback to enhance the user experience.
Our team utilized Blender to create 3D models and animations. In addition, we provided training to the client on how to use the Oculus Quest 2 device to operate the application. As a result, we delivered a fully-fledged application that met and exceeded the client’s expectations.
